Tiddly Music Classes 2021
Music makes us feel good! it ignites all areas of learning and is loved by children all over the world, it brings communities together and helps us to feel connected. Tiddly Music classes help set the foundations for learning and build skills for life.

Tiddly Babies – 3-14mths (45 minutes)
Babies instinctively react to music! By around 16-18 weeks in pregnancy your baby can hear its very first sound and by 24 weeks baby’s ears are fully developed. An unborn baby, just a few months old, is able to recognise and respond to Mummy’s voice, the rhythm is calming and soothing and your voice familiar. Tiddly Baby classes help to nurture the natural bond between Mother & baby, our interactive sessions will help babies to learn rhymes, lullabies, floor and lap games, action songs and dances that stimulate your baby’s natural response to music. Parents learn about infant musical development with activities and ideas that we share in class to enable parents to continue learning at home. Interactive music activities help babies to develop social skills, listening skills, enhance language development, motor skills and stimulate baby’s senses. Babies also develop a sense of balance and timing as well as a sense of community, they love to interact with each other and make new friends.

Tiddly Toddlers: Mixed ages 1-3yrs (45 minutes)
Our mixed age class brings a sense of community to our music sessions. It’s perfect for parents with two children under 4yrs who enjoy meeting up with friends to enjoy a music activity together. Parents with toddlers will also find this class suits them as we mainly have toddlers 1-3yrs in the group. Cathy loves to lead the group with parents & grandparents also playing a part as young children love to interact with others during class and learn new skills by copying what we do. We love to sing and dance, wiggle and bounce and move to the music, we also have fun with puppets and sensory props to excite and delight the little ones as they enjoy some special music time together. We teach music concepts such as high and low, soft and loud, up and down as well as incorporate general learning in the classes.

Tiddly Rockstars 3-5yrs (45 minutes)
Children are naturally musical and have great imaginations, they love to explore and learn new skills. At Tiddly Music we love to nurture children’s interests and ideas by taking them on a musical adventure of creativity and discovery, every fun filled session is not only packed with energy, we also learn lots on the way. Each half term we introduce a new and exciting theme giving children opportunities to express and develop ideas that we bring to life in class. As well as learning how to play instruments, children learn how to play and perform together, we also love to dance and move to music. Cathy is an Early Years Educator so she knows how to create the right balance between adult-led and child-initiated learning encouraging self-expression & creative thinking in her music and movement sessions. Our pre-schoolers are growing in confidence and ability, they are becoming more independent so parents take more of a back seat in classes but do continue to offer their support and encouragement.
