Love playing videos games?
Want to learn how to build your own?
In this six week course kids learn how to code a 2D Star Wars themed game followed by a 3D video game of their own design; and of course the best part of building video games - we get to play test them too!
As well as practicing computing and digital literacy skills, they'll be earning points for team work, creativity, confidence and communication skills... with a trophy for the winning team!
This course is held in a private area of the Geek Retreat Store.
The children will generally be signed in and out by a staff member at the beginning/end of each session, but please be aware that the only toilet facilities available are downstairs in the public cafe.
Whilst Geek retreat is a family friendly venue, we recommend you remain in the cafe for the duration of your child's session, as they may need to use the bathroom, during which time they will not be supervised by a member of staff.
Feel free to grab a coffee or a milkshake and chat with the other parents. Why not pull try out one of Geek Retreats free to play board games?

Meet Jam Coding Milton Keynes
Our mission is to deliver life skills to the next generation of digital citizens. Digital skills are more than being able to code and use a computer. They extend to safe usage, the digital opportunity and digital resilience. We believe that young people should be educated in all these digital skills. Learner’s graduate from our workshops, knowing the importance of coding and digital skills. They learn what they can achieve through coding and computing. Just as importantly, they have fun and make friends along the way…
We have been providing schools and children with innovative computing programmes and initiatives for over 5 Years . Over this period we have constantly updated, improved and refined our workshops and delivery model to what it is today. With our extensive experience of designing and delivering workshops we have an outstanding reputation with the schools we work with. Year-on-year, term-on-term, we are growing and reaching more and more young people, helping them to enjoy and understand Coding and Digital Skills.
