* Creating Team Players For Life * Championing Fair Play & Fun
Active, engaging sessions children love
Looking for a children’s activity that keeps them active, builds confidence and leaves them smiling from start to finish? Little Wickets combines energy, encouragement and feel-good fun, using cricket as the theme for exciting, age-appropriate sessions that children genuinely love. Every session is designed to help children run, throw, catch, strike, play and learn in a lively, supportive setting. With fair play, teamwork and fun at the heart of everything we do, Little Wickets helps children build confidence, develop new skills and enjoy being active. All sessions are led by qualified, enthusiastic and vetted coaches, so families know their children are in safe hands.
Weekly indoor classes during term time
1st Innings is specially designed for pre-school boys and girls from age 2½ until they start school. These weekly indoor term-time sessions introduce little ones to the FUNdamentals of movement through imaginative cricket-based games and activities. It is a brilliant first step into sport, with parents and grandparents able to join in as much or as little as their child needs while confidence grows over time.
2nd Innings is for school-aged children and builds on those early skills with more teamwork, gameplay and individual development, while keeping the same fun, welcoming Little Wickets approach. These sessions also run weekly indoors during term time, making them a fantastic regular activity whatever the weather. Parents and carers do not need to join in, although they can if it helps their child settle, and are asked to stay on site and are very welcome to watch.
We also offer 2-week paid trials, so families can try Little Wickets before committing to a full term-time block booking.
Fun-filled holiday activities
Little Wickets also offers a fantastic range of holiday activities, giving children even more chances to enjoy cricket-themed fun during the school holidays.
The holiday programme includes Tots’ Hot Shots for 3–5 year olds, introducing young children to the FUNdamentals of Cricket and Tennis in a fun, safe indoor setting, alongside popular holiday camps for primary school-aged children featuring softball cricket skills, activities and games for all abilities.Â
Primary school-aged holiday camps are designed to keep boys and girls active, engaged and happy, with children grouped by age in small, consistent groups and each session given its own theme and focus. Little Wickets provides all the kit, so children simply need to bring their energy and be ready to join in.Â
Families can book selected holiday activities from half a day up to multiple full days, with some multi-day and sibling discounts available. Most holiday activities take place indoors, while summer holiday camps are held outdoors, at local cricket clubs.
As places are limited, advance booking is essential.
