Sing and Sign's original and unique approach has revolutionised baby signing in this country. Everyone knows nursery rhymes and action songs are great fun and musical activities help stimulate language development. Sing and Sign combines the benefits of both music and baby signing. We teach a wide range of signs using some traditional and some specially written or adapted songs. What makes Sing and Sign special is that every sign used in song relates to those important first words of a baby's world! Nappies and bath time, hiding games and bedtime. You name it, we have a song about it, and the babies just love to hear them! With a high standard of educational content, this is a relaxing, enjoyable and unpressured way for you and your baby to learn.

The Sing and Sign Stage 1 course has been developed specifically for babies from around 6 months (or when they're comfortable sitting up) to around 16 months (or when they're starting to toddle). We have a new topic each week, and practice signs and songs in a fun and active way that is loved by the babies. Over the course of the 10 weekly classes, you and your baby will see and start to learn around 100 signs. Its a fabulous way to spend some dedicated time with just you and your baby focussed on each other.

Our class sizes are deliberately limited to 12 babies maximum, so that we can ensure that the babies aren't overwhelmed, and can enjoy the class in a safe and relaxed environment. There's also time at the end of each class for baby and parent socialising, and meeting other mums with new babies.

Stage 1 classes are run in a 10 week block. Please check the website or Facebook page for the latest dates.

Meet Sarah Silsby

I attended Sing and Sign classes with my 2 boys (now aged 8 and 4). We absolutely loved it! Both of the boys enjoyed the singing, instrument playing, and of course seeing Jessie Cat. But we also found it really useful as we learned our signs together. Dylan and Ryan were both able to express themselves and let us know what they needed and wanted long before they could talk. It was great to see Dylan recalling all of his signs once his brother started to sign, so that the 2 of them could communicate easily before Ryan could talk.
